Capital Outlay 2026: Habitat for Humanity Partnership – Center for housing economics
We need your support to secure funds to build eight houses in our next developments, two homes on William Street SE in the San Jose neighborhood, and six homes at Cleghorn NW and 64th Street NW, north of the Ladera Golf Course in Albuquerque.
These neighborhoods will provide affordable homeownership to deserving first time homeowners and their families. We are partnered with eight Habitat Affiliates statewide and the Center for Housing Economics to raise a total of $12 million. For a complete list of New Mexico Habitat Affiliate Requests visit housinomics.org.
- The $2,150,000 capital outlay request represents approximately 65% of the total anticipated cost of land, infrastructure, and construction for these two neighborhoods.
- We anticipate starting infrastructure work by the end of 2026 in the Cleghorn NW neighborhood. The construction of homes would then begin in 2027. The construction of the two homes on William SE will begin in March 2026.
