WHAT IS GIVING TUESDAY?

GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement that unleashes the power of radical giving around the world.

GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past nine years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

GivingTuesday strives to build a world in which the catalytic power of generosity is at the heart of the society we build together, unlocking dignity, opportunity, and equity around the globe.

Everyone is encouraged to participate in GivingTuesday.

GivingTuesday was built by a broad coalition of partners, including individuals, families, nonprofits, schools, religious organizations, small businesses and corporations. There are people and organizations participating in GivingTuesday in every country in the world.

Participating in GivingTuesday is about joining a movement for generosity, and there are so many ways to do that. Whether you give your voice, goods, your time, or your money, being generous is a way to fight for the causes you care about and help people in need.

Why choose our non-profit to give to?
We are in a global housing crises and New Mexico is no exception. According to cabq.gov, it is estimated that over 50% of Albuquerque households are paying more than 30% of their income to housing and there is a 30,000 unit deficit.
Your monetary gift to us will directly impact local families in need of a long-term, sustainable housing solution. In addition to New Construction, our Preservation Repair and Critical Systems Replacement programs give back to seniors and veterans who do not have the physical or financial means to accomplish their own home repairs. These valuable home repair services empower our aging population by allowing them to stay in their own homes.
We have also expanded our service area to include South Sandoval County. We recently opened a new Donation Center located in Rio Rancho to better serve our neighboring communities. We are truly making a difference in affordable homeownership, one home and one family at a time.
