While the AARP group of volunteers was small, they came out over three days, for four hours each day and accomplished minor exterior home repairs for a local family in need of our services.

From July 25 through August 1, 2025, AARP joined our Home Preservation crew to help a family revitalize their property in South East Albuquerque.

The work performed included:

  • Removal of shrubbery from the front gate area
  • Weatherproofing the front deck and adding tracks
  • Adding stairs with a gate to the front ramp for easier access
  • Rebuilding the side and rear stairs
  • Adding a walkway path from the front of the house through the garden area
  • Cleaning and organizing the back storage area and patio
  • Painting the deck and ramp leading to the deck
  • Installing trim on the deck
  • Repairing the front yard gate
  • Trimming bushes and trees
  • Organizing the garden area

We are so thankful to the hardworking volunteers who leant a helping hand from AARP.
