Greater Albuquerque Habitat for Humanity gets financial and volunteer boost from Bank of America to build two homes on William St.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Greater Albuquerque Habitat for Humanity is celebrating a generous boost from Bank of America, helping bring two new homes to life in the city.
The bank contributed a $15,000 donation to support Habitat for Humanity’s mission of creating affordable homeownership opportunities for local families.
These funds will go directly toward building two homes currently under construction on William Street SE.
Beyond the donation, Bank of America team members rolled up their sleeves and joined volunteers and future homeowners on-site, working side by side to make these homes a reality. They plan to return on April 30 to continue lending a hand.
“In New Mexico, many people face different kinds of needs, and giving back is incredibly important,” said Jennifer Sowers, co-chair of Bank of America’s Volunteer Network. “It’s not only about helping others—it’s about strengthening our community, showing we care, and setting an example of kindness and respect for the next generation.”
Support for these homes also comes from dedicated partners Intel and State Farm, the official corporate sponsors of the project.
Looking ahead, Habitat for Humanity continues to expand its impact, with land secured on 64th Street NW for six additional homes and on 62nd Street for another 10 to 11 homes—bringing even more hope and opportunity to Albuquerque families.
