Our Preservation Repair program is in full swing with the completion of several minor home repairs for a house located on Gibson St. SE.
Landscaping the property included the uprooting and disposal of weeds and the removal of two trees.
Additionally, two staircases were repaired on the east and west sides of the home plus deck handrails.
Skirting was installed on the home as well as paint and trim around the house.
This was a four-day project that included the removal of over thirty bags of trash. The homeowner, Judith, was beside herself with appreciation for the volunteers, GAHH staff and our organization as a whole.
When the homeowner was asked what she would do now that these repairs were made, she said, “I plan to sit in my yard swing, with a smile, and enjoy the view.”
