Want to make a hands-on difference in your community? Greater Albuquerque Habitat for Humanity offers several ways to volunteer your time and skills.
You don't need construction experience to get involved. Whether you volunteer for a day, join us regularly, or bring a group, your time can help local families and homeowners.
Build A Home
Work alongside Habitat staff, volunteers, and future homeowners to help build affordable homes in our community.
No construction experience is required. Volunteers of different skill levels are welcome, and you'll have an opportunity to learn while you work.
Help Preserve a Home
Home Preservation and Repair focuses only on the outside of each home, with our areas of work being different for each homeowner and their home's specific needs.

Skilled Volunteers
Have experience in construction, carpentry, painting, electrical work, plumbing, HVAC, landscaping, or another trade?
Put your skills to work helping Habitat build and preserve homes throughout our community.
Events Volunteer
Event supporting volunteers assist Habitat staff members to ensure a fun and memorable experience for all attendees. No event experience is required, however, a lot goes into a truly exceptional event. We welcome all volunteers and small to large groups to help us out.
Community Service
Greater Albuquerque Habitat for Humanity may have opportunities for individuals who need to complete court-supported, court-mandated, or other required community service hours.

Volunteer at the ReStore
Prefer to volunteer indoors? Help our Albuquerque ReStore team with tasks such as organizing merchandise, stocking items, maintaining displays, and assisting with day-to-day projects.
Volunteer opportunities may also be available at our Rio Rancho Donation Center.
Volunteer as a Group
Bring your coworkers, church, school, organization, club, or group of friends together for a meaningful volunteer experience.

Contractor Partners
Are you a contractor interested in using your skills to make a difference in your community? Greater Albuquerque Habitat for Humanity (GAHH) works with local contractors to help build and repair homes for families and individuals throughout our community.
Let your customers know you are a vital partner in the creation and promotion of affordable homeownership.
Lunch Box Builders
Being a Lunch Box Builder is a great opportunity for families, schools, churches, businesses and civic groups to give back to those that do the heavy lifting.

Youth Volunteer
Are you a student in need of community service hours for a school club or other organization or just want to help make a substantive contribution to a really good cause? A parent looking for volunteer opportunities your family can do together? Many Habitat for Humanity volunteer opportunities are available varying by age. All youth are required to have a youth waiver filled out by their parent/guardian and document will require a notarization. New Volunteer Orientation
If you are interested in becoming involved in volunteering, learning more about your local ABQ Habitat, and not sure where to start, join us for one of our volunteer orientations. We cover topics such as what volunteer opportunities we currently need help with, what to expect while volunteering, required safety practices, finding out where your skills can best be supported, how to prepare for your first volunteer experience, and answer any questions or concerns. Orientations are held via Teams.
